Editorial policy

Evidence before atmosphere

Our standard for sourcing, authorship, independence and visual interpretation.

01

Scope and independence

Topic selection and conclusions belong to the editorial desk. Commercial support cannot purchase favourable wording, hidden placement or source omission.

  • No payment for positive coverage
  • No undisclosed placement
  • No invented expert authority
02

Source hierarchy

We prefer museums, archives, standards bodies, scientific agencies and clearly identified primary records. A visual resemblance begins a question; it does not prove a historical connection.

03

Observation and principle

Observation describes public-facing form. A principle proposes how that form may operate in design. Current standards or product facts are separately dated and linked to their official source.

04

Images and generated work

Generated or transformed editorial imagery is labelled and is not evidence for a real object. Third-party images require a creator, licence and source record.

05

Updates

Material changes receive a review date. Corrections that alter meaning receive a dated note rather than a silent rewrite.
